Make Your Wedding Day Hassle-Free By Choosing Hog Roast Chelford

Our Hog Roast Chelford team had a wonderful time on Saturday afternoon, helping a really lovely couple tie the knot in a beautiful ceremony that was hosted outdoors at one of our partner venues.

The betrothed couple, Richard and Sally, had chosen Hog Roast Chelford to cater for their wedding after hearing all about our services from a close family friend who had previously enjoyed an event with us. The glowing testimonial they had given filled the pair with complete confidence, and, after speaking with our catering manager, David, for themselves months before their nuptials went ahead, they were sold on what we had to offer them!

Being able to handle their catering and venue – two of the most stressful parts of any wedding – in one phone call was a massive relief for both Richard and Sally, who, after securing their dream location, worked closely with David to come up with the ultimate dining solution for them and their 200 guests.

hog roast ChelfordWith people of all ages set to attend the special occasion, along with vegetarians, vegans and those with allergies, it made perfect sense for Richard and Sally to choose a bespoke version of our Alfresco Wedding Menu, which, on this occasion, included an additional meat option of whole roasted free-range chicken to accompany our iconic slow-roasted pork dish, that is offered with sides of savoury stuffing, crackling, applesauce and gluten-free rolls.  Roasted new potatoes, gourmet vegan coleslaw and a choice of salads were also included on the menu to add extra flavour to the meal, and those following plant-based diets were offered our delicious grilled vegetable skewers with tzatziki dip and flatbreads.

David and the Hog Roast Chelford team had done everything possible to wow the couple, and sure enough, their efforts paid off on the day. Not only did the guests absolutely love the main course options, but they thoroughly enjoyed the beautifully presented charcuterie boards of Italian meats, cheeses and artisan breads, which centred each of the tables. Not only that, but the dessert choices of homemade profiteroles and tarte au citron went down a storm too!
