1: Do you cater for vegetarians?

Yes, we don’t want anyone to feel left out when catering so we provide a variety of options for vegetarians and vegans. Our most popular choice of meal is the veggie skewers with or without halloumi, with tzatziki dipping sauce.

2: Is pork the only meat you offer?

We offer a variety of meats to choose from, you can have spit roasted chickens, whole turkeys, lamb, beef or even fish, we can cater for whatever meat you’d prefer. Our Southern Slow Roast Menu is one of our most popular menus where you can have a choice of 3 meats for you and your guests.

3: Is it possible to hire a machine and do a hog roast myself?

Yes. We offer the hire of machines as part of our service and many people chose this as a cheaper alternative to having us cater their event. Hiring a machine from us couldn’t be easier. Our machines are top of the range, reliable and easy to use.

4: What is the cost of machine hire?

Very affordable hire packages available, prices are inclusive of delivery, collection and the gas needed to power the machines.

5: Are the machines easy to use?

When purchasing a machine we offer free delivery by courier within 7 working days anywhere in the UK. If you can’t wait to receive your machine then we can also offer an Express delivery service by courier available at £100+VAT.

8:What is the smallest event you can cater for?

There is no real answer to this other than the fact that we will cater for any event the only thing that stops us as regard to Hog Roasting is price. As the difference in price between events for either 50 to 100 people is only small. Although we do provide excellent value for money events for 100 plus I still feel for the quality of service we provide all of our prices provide value for money.

9:How long do you need to be on site?

As we slow cook our Hogs we tend to take them part cooked then finish them off at the event this allows us to arrive on site around 3 hours before your guests arrive. So that we can guarantee that we are fully set up for service before guests begin to turn up.

10:What happens to any Hog, Buns Left Over?

Once Service has Finished we will come to see the host of the event (or somebody they have appointed to rendezvous with us) to show them what is left (if there is any!) We then will offer three options either we can tray anything left up and leave it somewhere for guests to continue coming up to help themselves to something (ideal if the drinks have been flowing!) Or we can put what you want in to freezer friendly trays and leave the meat with yourselves (it makes fantastic curries!). Finally we can take whatever’s left away with us to save you the hassle.

11:Why have I been able to find quotes cheaper than yourselves?

A: Well this is an important question although essentially the answer lies in the old saying “you get what you pay for!” We are a well established Hog roasting company with a proven track record in providing an excellent standard of service for our clients whom have included many large companies over the past 27 years. We use rare breed Hog, a Glouster Old Spot crossed with a Saddleback to give the best quality pork money can buy. The Buns We use are freshly baked on the day of your event. The Apple sauces and Stuffing’s are made in our restaurant on the day of your event the Stuffing is a sage and onion which is enhanced by the addition of sausage meat. Then to finish it off all of our staff are in house trained and are all chefs, so the standard of service you will receive is second to none.

12: Do I have to provide my own cutlery?

Most of our menus include disposable cutlery/crockery at no extra cost, or you can ask for china plates and cutlery if you would prefer a more formal feel to your event for a small fee.
