Last Saturday we were proud to be a part of one of the biggest wedding events in the area, set at one of Chester’s most historic venues, the event brought together excited couples, various suppliers and a positive environment. From the moment the doors opened to all of the engaged couples and suppliers involved, the atmosphere was filled with inspiration and enthusiasm.
The fayre welcomed over 60 well respected wedding suppliers. Whether guests were just starting to imagine their big day or finalising those all important finishing touches, there was something for everyone. From florists and photographers to stylists, entertainers and of course caterers (that’s where we come in!) it was a showcase of talent from across Cheshire and beyond.
Our Hog Roast Chester team enjoyed meeting so many people and chatting through their different visions. One of the reasons why we love being a part of events like the Chester wedding fair is it gives us a chance to showcase our services whilst having relaxed conversations, giving friendly advice and having honest conversations about what we can bring to your special day. A big highlight at our stand was our taster samples. There’s nothing quite like trying the food to really picture it on your wedding day, and the smell alone persuaded plenty of visitors over for a chat before they even saw our stand. We loved seeing reactions as guests sampled our slow-roasted pork, crispy crackling and fresh sides, it always sparks interesting conversations about menu ideas and serving styles.

We know that every wedding is different, no two events will be the same which means your menu shouldn’t be either, we can do all of this whilst staying cost effective. For us at Hog Roast Chester, the Cheshire Wedding Fayre was a successful day. Not only did we meet loads of wonderful couples, but we also connected with other local suppliers and thoroughly enjoyed the whole day. Chester Racecourse proved to be the perfect backdrop for such a special event, and we left feeling inspired, energised and looking forward to the upcoming weddings in 2026.
