We had great fun last week doing a hog roast in Burtonwood in the snow. When I opened the curtains at 5am I thought mmm this is going to be an interesting day and it didn’t disappoint me. I really enjoy cold crisp mornings with the snow crunching under foot. As usual we where the first people to arrive at the venue Burtonwood village hall and we quickly got ourselves set up and got the kettle on. It was a great scene cold and frosty with a light sprinkling of snow and a clear blue sky. By 9am people started to arrive and open up the village hall, the hog was smelling great and we had some good comments. By 12 we were ready serve and the hog roast looked great. Everyone turned up straight from the church in their winter woollies and a great afternoon was had by all. Looking forwards to the next hog roast we do in Burtonwood.
