We’ve catered in all kinds of places as part of the job at Hog Roast Crewe. Catering takes you to some truly magnificent and unique venues and locations; there is little of Cheshire and the north-west of England that we likely haven’t seen at this point. But then, somehow, even after these many years of working events even we can still be thrown a truly unique curveball with where we end up working for an event!
This past week, the Hog Roast Crewe team were invited to set up at Manchester Airport of all places to cook up our hog roast rolls! Yes, unbelievably the Hog Roast Crewe team were set up on the outdoor concourse of one of the biggest airports in the UK, where we had the surreal task of serving up our signature hog roasts mere feet from jetting in and out to and from all around the world!
Our task as a corporate caterer is so often about refuelling events with our delicious selection of roasted foods and freshly made dishes. In coming out to Manchester Airport we struck up a kinship with our corporate customers of the week, as our job was to refuel the refuellers! The MASHCo Projects Office were the ones to graciously invite the Hog Roast Crewe team out to serve their workers. MASHCo work as part of the airport for all of the refuelling of the planes coming in and out of third busiest airport in the country. A gargantuan task as you can imagine, so it was only fair that the folks that keep your holidays going were given the best of our dining as a treat.
We sought out to see whether pigs truly could fly: our menu for the afternoon had us serving up hog roast roll after hog roast roll to the folks that keep the planes in the sky. Whether pigs can fly or not was not quite determined, but whether they could fill up a hungry bunch of guests? Well, that was most certainly proven by the Hog Roast Crewe team this time!
