Every few months, Louise and her friendship group gather to enjoy an evening together, which usually includes plenty of drinks, lots of time to catch up, and some great food. This May, Louise wanted to host something fancier than normal to celebrate the beginning of spring. She decided on a cocktail party at her home in Cheshire, with a menu of signature drinks and catering provided by Hog Roast Connah’s Quay. For the menu, our catering manager Steven was hired to serve a canapes course and a delicious main meal. The canapes would be ideal alongside the cocktails and create the ideal atmosphere for chatting and mingling.
In preparation for this event, our catering manager Steven planned to arrive at the private venue in the afternoon, giving us plenty of time to prepare for the 8:00pm serving time. We will begin our menu by serving a selection of delicious canape options, including mini fish and chips, mini cheese or pepperoni pizzas, an Indian selection, and spring rolls. These dishes will be served by our waiting staff, allowing the guests to enjoy the dishes while they relax and make the most of the sunny spring weather. Following this, we will be serving a classic Hog Roast Connah’s Quay main course, consisting of a slow-roasted hog and all of the trimmings. The sliced pork will be accompanied by fresh bread rolls, sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling, as well as chips and a seasonal salad option. This will create a hearty and filling main meal, with plenty for every guest to enjoy.
