It was Andy Williams who said it’s the most wonderful time of the year – and he wasn’t wrong! With so many events, festive traditions and celebrations to keep us all occupied for the entire month of December (and November, too, if you’re among the early birds!), the countdown to Christmas is renowned for putting the whole nation in a great mood. And Hog Roast Bollington, especially, had a grand old time this year, with the constant flow of Xmas-related functions being a welcome relief after Christmas 2020!
It was lovely to see workplace parties make a return for Christmas once again, and it was even more amazing for us to be able to provide on-site catering into the bargain. So, as you can probably imagine, much of our time over the holiday season was spent handling events of this nature.
One client who we helped throw a magnificent office Christmas party was Tyler. He had originally spoken to us back in November about the details of his annual do, which this year centred around the theme of C.S. Lewis’s Narnia! We were very excited to be a part of the festivities, and to make sure the client got the most out of the event, our catering manager, Alan, made several menu suggestions that he thought would best fit the theme. In the end, our Hog Roast Dining Menu won out!
On the day of the party, Hog Roast Bollington journeyed to the function hall that Tyler had hired for the occasion. The place had already been decorated with a range of different props, including sleighs, bears, icicles and lamp posts. There was even a huge plush lion at the door to greet the guests as they arrived!
With no time to lose, Alan and the Hog Roast Bollington caterers prepared our signature slow-roasted pig, as well as an additional free-range chicken option. Both meats were presented with salads and potatoes, while non-meat-eating guests were offered grilled veggie skewers.
The guests, who arrived wearing medieval finery, were amazed by the effort Tyler had gone to, and they were even more impressed with the sumptuous feast that Hog Roast Bollington had readied for them!
