While you may well be longing for our signature food, freshly prepared at your venue on the day and cooked slowly for hours on end until we’re left with soft, moist meat and crispy crackling, then either served as pigs in buns or as part of a plated meal, we do understand the need for alternative or additional food to be served, either instead of or as well as one of our centrepiece hog roasts.
If any of your guests are on special diets, whether vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free or something else, Hog Roast Higher Whitley can work with you to decide on which tasty options would be best. If you’d prefer a main of spit-roasted chickens, turkeys or a hunk of lamb or beef, a barbecue of sausages, burgers and ribs, or one of our special standalone menus (like our sumptuous Southern Slow Roast or our yummy Loaded Fries), we can easily do that if you like. Plus we can also provide a multi-course menu, with your choice of canapés, starters, sides or puddings, and whether you want one or several, just say the word and Bob’s your uncle.
Sometimes, however, one course is more than enough for one of our customers and their guests and many times, that’s one of our traditional hog roasts made into pigs in buns. For a party that Hog Roast Higher Whitley catered earlier today, that’s exactly what we cooked up, using fresh, floury bread rolls and wraps, our homemade apple sauce and sage and onion stuffing, and, of course, the locally sourced meat and crackling, and when put together, they were amazing pieces of heaven that were gobbled up in record time.
