When it comes to Guy Fawkes night, I think we can all agree on one thing: The age-old tradition just wouldn’t be the same without having a delicious hog roast to dig into, making it one of the busiest days of the year for the Hog Roast Forsham team. 2019 has been no different and for this year’s celebrations, our talented catering crew were called in to assist the established care home provider, Cuerden Developments Ltd pull off their annual get together which saw 80 guests flock to Cardwell House Farm to watch the majestic fireworks display and sate their appetites with grub from one of our flavoursome menus.
With guests of all ages (including 20 children) set to attend the special occasion, our expert catering manager Paul was quick to recommend one of the more versatile menus Hog Roast Forsham has to offer which provides a formal indoor or outdoor experience with plenty of variety, ensuring that even the fussiest of eaters can find something they’ll enjoy. The client was especially pleased to discover that on top of our adult-focused delicacies, we also offer a simpler option which is renowned for keeping the children entertained while the adults enjoy a much-needed catch-up.
In order to have everything ready for 7 pm, the Hog Roast Forsham catering crew arrived on site in the early afternoon which gave them plenty of time to cook up the feast which centred around the cajun spiced whole roast chickens and meat-free grilled vegetable skewers with optionable haloumi. As the meat sizzled its way to perfection in our Hog Master, the team turned their focus to the side options of golden chips, mixed salad, crunchy coleslaw, tomato and mozzarella salad, gourmet sausages and buttery corn cobbettes as well as the children’s menu of hot dogs, onions and sauces.
Arriving guests were immediately drawn to the buffet table and as Hog Roast Forsham added the finishing touches to the main meal and plated up the desserts of profiteroles and fruit salad, they could hear fireworks popping off in the background as the early bonfire celebrations kicked off.
