If you have had the fortune of spending anytime at all with the Hog Roast Neston team then you will more than likely be familiar with us as a family run catering business. It has been one of the great benefits of joining the Spitting Pig family as a franchise owner that we get to run our shop our way as a family, keeping the work feel like just another extension of our own well-working unit.
You’ll already know the head of the family and business, Ste, and you will more than likely have seen Molly and Lillie running around and cooking up a storm at your events as well. What you won’t have seen is perhaps the newest “master chef in the making” that was added to our team just a few weeks back at the insistence of one our wedding customers. Making Hog Roast Neston a truly generational business, we had granddaughter Ayda along for a wedding catering service. This came after an in-depth discussion with the bride who was excited at the prospect of having Ayda in attendance seeing as they would be having their own 5-year-old daughter there too. So, what did we do? Put Ayda to work of course!
That last part may be just a little joke, but we did get Ayda set up nicely with her very own smart looking chef’s jacket so that she would look like part of the team! Taking after her grandfather, Ayda was determined to help where she could, but the majority of the work fell to the rest of us to make sure we were still putting out an unbeatable dining experience for our guests. In time perhaps, Ayda will be able to join us as our new star chef. Until then, she’ll be learning by watching!
We truly appreciated the invite extending out to our granddaughter, however. It is things like this that make working with our customers at Hog Roast Neston such a delight, and why we keep on coming back week after week, event after event!
