Luckily, football fans are used to being out in all weather conditions to support their team, but a warming food option is always welcomed! Earlier in the football season, Hog Roast Nantwich was contacted by Dylan to see if we could cater for a football match taking place this January. The match is set to be the biggest in the season, with the most spectators turning up to watch, so he wanted to do something extra to make the day feel even better. Our catering was sure to be a great addition to the event since it would warm up the spectators during the match, and give them something to look forward to after standing in the cold for a while. Dylan decided that our classic menu would be perfect since it is simple yet delicious and would be the most efficient option to serve to the crowds.
When the day of the match arrives, the Hog Roast Nantwich team will get to the venue in the morning, giving us plenty of time to prepare for the midday serving time. We will start with the hog and allow it to roast for around five hours. Once ready, the pork will be expertly carved by our chef and served in fresh bread rolls, alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. For meat-free guests, we will be serving our tasty BBQ-pulled jackfruit. The mains will be accompanied by homemade chips and gourmet coleslaw, creating the perfect lunch to enjoy on an icy January afternoon.
