Children’s birthday parties are special events that every parent and guardian wants to be filled with fun and laughter, Hog Roast Mere’s latest catered party was exactly that kind of event. Maria booked the team to put together a tasty buffet for the 50 people that were invited to the birthday celebration.
As the party was outdoors there was plenty of space for Catering Manager Paul from the Hog Roast Mere team to work. He arrived at the garden in Knutsford in the early morning in order to set up the cooking equipment and prepare every dish at the venue prior to the 2:30pm serving time.
The clients loved the buffet that Catering Manager Paul created, as there was something for everyone! Amongst the tasty dishes on offer there were platters of vegetarian grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers, kids favourite of mac’n’cheese, juicy corn cobettes and a mix of sweet potato and normal potato chips for everyone to tuck into. However that was not everything! There was also a delicious Classic Hog Roast, which was served with succulent crispy crackling, homemade sage and onion stuffing and a tangy apple sauce. The final three platters at the serving table were filled with a healthy Greek salad, fresh crunchy coleslaw and a small mountain of soft gluten free rolls.
Part of the catering package that was paid for by the clients included the use of Hog Roast Mere cutlery and crockery. The clients selected to use the high quality re-usable wooden bamboo crockery and cutlery for this event, feeling that it was a safer option as so many of the guests were children. These useful items were brought to site by Catering Manager Paul and later taken off site by him too. Another element of the catering package the clients loved with the fact that at the end of the serving time Paul took away all rubbish generated by the buffet, leaving the clients to enjoy the celebration.
The event was a wonderful success filled with lots of laughter. The weather held fair and Hog Roast Mere cannot wait to cater other children’s birthday celebrations in the future.
