During January there are all kinds of firework displays and events to celebrate the festivities of the New Year. At Hog Roast Lymm, we have been hired to cater for a great community display, hosted by a local football club. The event is set to include a wonderful fireworks display, great food from Hog Roast Lymm, a selection of warming drinks, and entertainment for younger guests to enjoy. For the menu, we will be serving our classic hog roast with a few additional dishes, which is sure to create the perfect menu for the occasion.
When the day of the fireworks display arrived, the Hog Roast Lymm team arrived at the football club in the afternoon to give us plenty of time to prepare the menu on-site. We began with the hog, which needed around five hours to cook to perfection. Additionally, we prepared BBQ-pulled jackfruit, marinated chicken kebabs, and succulent pork sausages. Once ready, the mains were served in fresh bread rolls, alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. For the sides, the guests could enjoy homemade chips, corn cobettes, gourmet coleslaw, and a fresh green leaf salad. Overall, our catering was a great addition to the event and our menu went down a treat, with more than enough for everyone to enjoy! The Hog Roast Lymm team enjoyed the firework display and it was the perfect setting for an evening of work.
