For lovers of body art, nothing beats a good ol’ tattoo convention. Giving you the chance to familiarise yourself with different artists and maybe even fill up some blank skin with some awesome new pieces, these events are highly regarded in the world of body mods. And the great thing is, they take place all year round in different locations up and down the country, meaning if you miss one, it won’t be long before another pops up!
Hog Roast Cuddington has been invited along to a few of these functions in the past, and whilst we know very little about tattooing, we always find that we have great fun at these events. Our favourite thing is meeting interesting people and seeing all of the incredible artwork that people have decorated themselves with!
The most recent event of this type that we worked at took place over the weekend. The head of organising this convention, Martin, had been the one to give us the heads up that this event was going ahead and he had asked us to come along and serve our Southern Slow Roast Menu to the crowds.
As anyone that has been inked knows, lining your stomach before getting a tattoo is vital, so Hog Roast Cuddington’s role at this event was extremely important. And determined not to let Martin down, our crew spent all morning preparing a drool-worthing spread, which comprised of fall off the bone Louisiana sticky pork ribs, Cajun-spiced whole roast chickens, Texan 24 hour beef brisket and vegan-friendly BBQ pulled jackfruit rolls with sides of mac and cheese, Memphis style crunchy coleslaw and a mixture of sweet potato and regular fries. The team also laid out a selection of rolls and wraps for the guests to pick from, along with a trio of our legendary smokey and spicy BBQ-style sauces.
With our catering manager, Alan, at the helm, Hog Roast Cuddington successfully managed to cater to everyone’s dietary requirements at this event, and the guests were amazed by the quality of the food and how quickly our crew managed to serve everyone, which kept the queues to a minimum.
