Hog Roast Elton Handled A DIY Oktoberfest Pub Party

You know what they say: if you can’t go to the party, then there’s no other option but to bring the party to you (or something to that effect anyway!). So, while Munich has cancelled their annual Volksfest for the second year in a row due to Covid, we’re pleased to say that here in the UK, this year’s Oktoberfest celebrations are well underway; and our Hog Roast Elton team has had a wonderful time helping out at several themed events recently.

Perhaps most notably, we were invited along to help one of our oldest and dearest clients, Ted, throw his annual pub party, which is something we look forward to taking part in every year. This time around, though, Ted was determined to take things to the next level by hiring a genuine German Oompah band specially for the occasion, and, on top of that, he’d even managed to arrange for some of Bavaria’s finest ales to be shipped over just in time for the festival.

Hog Roast Elton’s role, as always, was to cover the catering for the event. And, as a big fan of our Classic Hog Roast Menu, the client had requested that we serve this traditional feast to his ticket holders on the day of his DIY Oktoberfest festival. The guests couldn’t have been more pleased with what our catering manager and the rest of the team whipped up!

Hog Roast Elton The slow-roasted pork was cooked to sheer perfection with a gorgeous inside of tender and succulent meat, coated by a dense layer of tantalisingly tasty, salt-infused crackling, which was served in soft, floury rolls with hearty sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce and a dollop of our best-loved gourmet ‘slaw. A combination of our light and refreshing salads, mixed fries and herb dressed potatoes accompanied the hog roast, and for vegan guests, the team prepped our BBQ pulled jackfruit buns.

Between the live music, the sounds of clashing tankards and everyone having fun, the atmosphere was electric, to say the very least! As for the food, Hog Roast Elton nailed it once again, and Ted can’t wait to have us back next year!
