For a flavoursome treat, a succulent Hog Roast Litherland hog roast is a great way to impress your guests, regardless of the type of party or event that you might be organising. We’re often asked to cater with pigs in buns (our name for hog roast rolls), where we cook a pig for hours on end, slowly but surely at a low temperature, until we’re blessed with salty, crunchy crackling on the outside and soft, tender meat on the inside. Both these are added to fresh, floury bread rolls and wraps, topped with our homemade apple sauce and sage and onion stuffing, and then handed out to guests who devour them with delight.
You may prefer a hog roast meal for your special occasion instead, with your choice of seasonal vegetables and potatoes, accompanied by crispy crackling and our trio of trimmings – apple sauce, stuffing and onion gravy, but our options don’t just end there. For many years, we’ve catered with all kinds of food to suit all kinds of tastes, appetites and diets and that’s because Hog Roast Litherland wants everyone to be able to enjoy our tasty, homemade dishes.
With a spit-roast of whole turkeys or chickens or a hunk of lamb or beef, a barbecue of ribs, sausages and burgers or one of our standalone menus, we’ll wow your carnivore guests, while offerings like veggie skewers, quiche and mac and cheese will delight your vegetarian guests. We can make them vegan if needed and we also make sure to cater for other dietary needs if you let us know when you book.
We also have a wide array of additional dishes available, including starters, sides and desserts, and for a party that Hog Roast Litherland attended on Sunday, we served a menu of several. With Parma ham and vegetable soup starters, mains of pigs in buns and halloumi and veg skewers and desserts of sticky toffee pudding and lemon tart, both meat-eaters and vegetarians alike enjoyed a feast of fresh, homemade goodness, made out of high-quality, local ingredients, and all served with a smile by our dedicated experts.
