The summer hasn’t been very kind to us this year, but even so the Daresbury hog roasting team have been really busy. It seems hardly a day goes by without packing up the van and heading out to serve up more of our delicious organic hog roast Daresbury food.
Early last Saturday morning we were heading for Daresbury to cater for a wedding reception.
With our diverse range of menus and services Spitting Pig can cater for any event from large corporate parties to small family get togethers ; but there’s something special about catering for a wedding. Even though we provide a highly professional service no matter where we are asked to cater, even we aren’t immune to the excitement of a wedding day!
Weddings take such careful planning that we had been in close contact with the Bride and Groom for several months ironing out the details of the menu. We also discussed their choice of linens, cutlery and crockery all of which we provide in addition to our other services.
Because we had also discussed the venue in detail, when we arrived we were able to get straight to work assembling the marquee and dressing the tables.
The Bride and Groom after much discussion had chosen our wedding menu option 4. when the guests began to arrive they were greeted politely by our highly professional waiting staff with a glass of wine and a selection of delicious canapés; they had chosen one of my particular favourites the smoked salmon on fresh brown bread with black pepper and lemon.
While the guests mingled with their drinks, our chefs were busy preparing all the chosen starters and desserts while the spring lamb and sirloin of beef the party had chosen roasted to perfection.
All our meat courses are served with specially prepared sauces to compliment their subtle flavours.
The one thing our comprehensive wedding packages do not provide is the cake itself and this is because we understand that the choice of cake is a highly personal one which most couples will want to make themselves. We will however, cut and serve your cake with one of our own specially made coulis.
