The Euro Final Meant A Busy Night For Hog Roast Guilden Sutton

Weeks might have passed, but we’re all still thinking about the Euros, and more to the point, the victory that could have been. But you know what they say. Every cloud has a silver lining – yes, even this one!

While football might not have come home in the way that many anticipated, rooting for England’s national team in the final playoff against Italy earlier this month was enough to unite people across the country. Even those who are typically anti-football seemed to join in the celebrations this time around, and if that isn’t an achievement in itself, then we’re not sure what is. So, although it didn’t end up in the way we hoped, one thing’s for sure: no one is going to forget the 2020 European Football Championships anytime soon.

Hog Roast Guilden SuttonHere in Cheshire, it was pretty much business as usual for the Hog Roast Guilden Sutton team, who spent the entire day catering to clusters of household parties and dropping off our gourmet food deliveries to clients all over the city. Don’t feel bad for us, though. We love what we do, and as you can probably imagine, the atmosphere out on the streets was buzzing with electricity and excitement for the whole day and much of the evening, which made our job all the more fun!

One customer, who had arranged a booking for a special Hog Roast Guilden Sutton delivery, was Archie. Like many hopeful fans, he had transformed his back garden into a miniature stadium, with a seating area angled toward a big-screen projection that had been set up to display the game. Lots of crisps, dip, chocolate footballs and other nibbles had been laid out on tables for guests to dig into too. But the real treat was, of course, our signature hog roast rolls: tender pulled pork meat, smothered in applesauce, stuffing and crispy crackling. What can we say? There’s nothing better!

So, although we were on duty, David and the rest of the Hog Roast Guilden Sutton catering team had a truly wonderful night, and we’re looking forward to our next shot at winning the cup in 2024.
