When Hog Roast Malpas was contacted earlier this year to provide catering for a surprise party, the whole team was excited to get involved. Martin is hosting a surprise party for his wife’s 50th birthday, with their daughter flying over from Australia to join in with the celebrations. The event is taking place at the family home, with Hog Roast Malpas serving our buffet catering from the kitchen. For the menu, we discussed a selection of options with Martin, before it was decided that a classic hog roast would be ideal, plus a delicious veggie option. We got to work on planning the perfect menu for the occasion to make sure that this event is a success in every way!
In preparation for this event, the Hog Roast Malpas team will arrive at the private venue in the morning to give us plenty of time to slow-roast the hog to perfection. Once it is time to serve, the sliced pork will be served in fresh bread rolls, alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. For meat-free guests, we will be serving BBQ-pulled jackfruit, which is a delicious alternative to pulled pork. For the side dishes, the guests can enjoy homemade chips, gourmet coleslaw, and a selection of salads to dishes to create a well-rounded and tasty buffet lunch.
