Marcus and Angela have been married for ten years and wanted to do something special to commemorate spending a decade together. They wanted to plan an event that would feel luxurious, giving themselves and their guests a reason to dress up smartly and gather together to share memories and enjoy a great evening. Together they decided that they wanted to host a formal meal and invite 40 of their family and friends to enjoy the occasion, with catering served by Hog Roast Appleton. Our catering manager Alan discussed our formal dining package with the couple, and it was decided that this menu was exactly what they were looking for. All that they had to do was get dressed up and enjoy the day!
The day of the anniversary came around Alan and the Hog Roast Appleton were looking forward to getting to cater for this event. Our formal menu began with a starter, consisting of fresh salmon or a homemade soup of the day. This was a light and tasty way to introduce our catering and prepare for the main course. The star of our menu was the slow-roasted hog, which was served with a selection of traditional trimmings and a variety of incredible sides. This meal included roasted baby potatoes, sage and onion stuffing, and seasonal vegetables, among other dishes. To end the menu, the guests were served sticky toffee pudding or fresh cheesecake, with each dish accompanied by English cream and fresh berries.
