I think we all know that when we are heading to someone’s party we are all discussing the food, ‘what’s on the buffet?’ or ‘I hope the food is good’. It puts more pressure on the host to make sure the food is good and that it’s a party to remember. So when Tom contacted us at Hog Roast Widnes regarding the catering for his party he was adamant that he wanted to impress everyone. He specifically didn’t want the usual sausage rolls, pies and crisps kind of buffet that everyone expects. Instead he wanted a Hog Roast Widnes buffet that would blow the guests away!
Tom was celebrating his engagement so not only needed to impress his fiancé but his new in-laws and the rest of their families. Unusually, Tom had a very laid back fiancé Jenny, who had left him in charge of everything. Tom was calm as a cucumber and had it all planned out, he knew straight away he wanted a Hog Roast, he remembered us from a friends party that he attended and knew straight away if he ever had a party we would be there!
On the day of the party we headed to Widnes’s local Cricket Club to start preparing our salads and side dishes as our large hog was slowly roasting away, and with a few hours left we had plenty of time to ensure we had the perfect pulled pork ready to stuff into rolls and wraps. With an hour until expected service time all the guests had arrived and were impressed at what 
Tom had pulled off and Jenny even joked saying he can plan the whole wedding he did so well! But before we knew it we lifted out our hog and we had the guests flocking straight over Tom had warned everyone to not eat much that day and to leave plenty of room. He wanted to make sure there was plenty for everyone to have 2 portions each, a roll and a wrap each if preferred too! And so many guests did have the room, as we packed away and left discreetly all the guests were having a great time and Tom and Jenny had a quick minute to thank us for taking the stress away from their evening and preparing the perfect buffet!
Tom’s already mentioned their wedding catering by us at Hog Roast Widnes so we are looking forward to seeing Tom, Jenny and their guests again very soon!
