Earlier in November, Hog Roast Prenton was hired to provide catering for a 70th birthday party taking place at a home on Noctorum Lane. The guest list included 80 friends and family members, including celebrity chef Nisha Katona and radio presenter Pete Price! For the menu, our catering manager Alan was asked to provide a classic hog roast, alongside a veggie option and a selection of delicious side dishes. The event was a formal gathering, so the menu was set to be served on China crockery and cutlery to suit the tone.
On the day of the party, the Hog Roast Prenton team arrived at the venue with plenty of time to prepare for the 19:45 serving time. We got to work by slow-roasting the hog and ensuring that it was cooked to perfection before it was expertly carved by Alan. For meat-free guests, we also provided BBQ pulled jackfruit. The main dishes were served in fresh bread rolls, with a gluten-free alternative on offer. Alongside the mains, we served a variety of incredible sides, including dauphinoise potatoes, tomato and mozzarella salad, crunchy7 coleslaw, and a delicious Thai salad. Once it was time to eat, we served the 80 guests buffet style, allowing everyone to create their ideal meal from our menu. The event was definitely a success and our catering went down a treat- so much so that both celebrity guests took our business cards!
