Hog Roast Neston were certainly on the same wavelength as the local radio station we recently provided one of our classy corporate buffets for! They started out a year ago with the aim of providing a radio service that promotes local events and addresses issues that are close to the heart of all of their listeners. Much like them, we are all about celebrating what the region has to offer with our use of only the best locally-sourced in all of our menus, so for the station managers, we were the obvious choice to do the catering for their one year anniversary party! In the last 12 months their broadcasters and programmes have acquired a large local following and as well as wanting to mark their first full year on the air, they wanted to hold a party to thank the people that have helped to make it happen. They couldn’t have made such a huge success of the station if it wasn’t for their sponsors-a variety of local businesses who helped financially to get the station up and running in exchange for a bit of air time to advertise their services, from restaurants and florists to garages and hair salons. Of course, none of this would make any difference if it wasn’t also for their ever -growing group of loyal listeners, so rather than excluding all the people that have played a part in keeping them on the air, they decided to throw a competition in which 20 lucky listeners won VIP tickets to the event and got the chance to sample some of Hog Roast Neston’s finest fare!
The station managers wanted the full works for their anniversary, including some of our delectable individually handmade canapes and a drinks reception for all the guests upon arrival, followed by a choice of traditional hog roast complete with crispy crackling and our silky apple sauce, and sirloin of beef served with Yorkshire puddings and rich red wine gravy. Our hosts loved the fact that we could provide what they termed ‘sociable sophistication’ by offering a combination of attentive service and high-quality nibbles when the guests arrived, followed by a buffet-style main course, which allowed the radio station staff to chat to their sponsors and listeners and win them over even more, whilst everyone was piling their plates high with our restaurant quality food! It was definitely a winning combination and the night was a huge success. The Hog Roast Neston team look forward to seeing you all again to celebrate your second anniversary of being on the air!
