Hog Roast Chester had the privilege of catering for this historic Chester City Club earlier this year – a centuries old private gentleman’s club that has been instrumental in the history of Chester through that time.
We knew going into this event that our client came with quite the prestigious reputation having housed former members of high business acumen, judges, and even fielding invites to members of aristocracy in the past. As such, Ste and the Hog Roast Chester knew that our dining and service was going to need to be at the very top level – as it always is. Not ones to disappoint, the organisers at Chester City Club were also very exacting about what they wanted, crafting an immense bespoke menu alongside Ste, who had a wonderful time putting together such a menu.
This menu and service ended up being one of our more extensive in recent times, with various additions taking us well beyond our standard hog roast dining menu to something even more exciting. We did, of course, have our signature Hog Roast Chester pork roast at the ready for the event, and the Chester City Club, knowing their roasts, let us know that their preference was for a pig that was at least 45kg. That was no issue for us, as our sourcing comes from local happy pig farms that come rich with many a fat and healthy pig.
Thereafter, we were also called upon to provide to veggie options: our BBQ marinated jackfruit and grilled veggie burgers. Further additions of 90 salmon portions, 70 pork sausages, 70 caramelised onion sausages, and 130 beef burgers turned this into a truly epic feast for all 140 guests to enjoy. Our salad options were also portioned out into individual bowls each at the client’s request, with Ste’s own pasta salad subbing in for our potato salad option. If that wasn’t enough to fill hearts and bellies, the Hog Roast Chester team then rounded off the night with strawberries and fresh cream for 90 of the guests.
