Anyone who’s lived in Chester for any time at all probably knows about the Carriage Shed. A massive venue that can frequently be found home to many a festival, an afternoon out, market crafts and art stalls, Ibiza nights and more. Putting on all of these events of course takes a tonne of work from the team behind the venue, so to celebrate a very successful summer The Carriage Shed team opted to host a massive summer work party for staff as thanks.
Of course, the best way to say thanks isn’t just music and good vibes, it is also through the stylish catered dining of Hog Roast Chester. This was a massive event for our fairly small team to take on, but with prep and the right foods we knew we could take it on and give the Carriage Shed one of the best dining experiences it has ever seen. A site that has been known for its massive events, now was just about to get even bigger with our catering!
When it’s quantity and quality you need, at Hog Roast Chester there is only ever going to be one answer – the hog roast. In this case, it’s maybe more than one answer, however, as with 500 guests to feed we’d need multiple hog roasts to cover the distance. One alone could feed a hundred guests, and that is without the stuffing and crackling trimmings and the veggie and vegan alternatives that we almost always prep alongside our roasts. So, a couple hog roasts would suit with one cooking away while the rest was already nicely shredded and ready for serving. This way we’d always have fresh pork on the go for all 500 guests – everyone, from the first guest to the last, always gets the same high-end dining experience with Hog Roast Chester. To fill the other gaps, we also had our vegan friendly pulled jackfruit, steeped for hours in our own BBQ marinade for a tonne of flavour. In terms of alternatives to a hog roast, this is the real deal!
The summer work party was a tonne of fun. Every guest was a delight to serve with our hog roast rolls providing plenty of much needed fuel to keep the summer party going long into the evening!
