Hog Roast Alsager Attended A Diamond Wedding Anniversary Celebration!

Hog Roast AlsagerMarriage is a wonderful journey that many people choose to go on, and every anniversary marks a new milestone in each couple’s unique voyage. So, whether you’re celebrating your first, fifth or fiftieth year together, these landmark moments are a fantastic reminder of the challenges you have overcome, the goals you’re working towards, and, most importantly, the love you share with your partner.

At Hog Roast Alsager, we often get to be there for the start of this beautiful journey, as many couples hire us to take care of the food at their wedding receptions, but, surprisingly, it’s not all too often that we get to help couples celebrate their anniversaries. It’s even more uncommon for us to observe a diamond anniversary. So when Catherine called us to organise catering for her mum and dad’s diamond anniversary party, we were over the moon!

Childhood sweethearts Edith and Joseph, now 80 and 83, respectively, became fast friends as children, which blossomed into a romance in their teenage years. And even after all their time spent together, the pair are still joined at the hip! On Thursday, they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary, and our team felt so privileged to be included!

Hog Roast AlsagerCatherine, the couple’s eldest daughter, had planned an elaborate party for the occasion, which brought all the family together for a fantastic evening of fun! Hog Roast Alsager had been asked to serve our Classic Hog Roast Menu, which treated the 200 guests to a dramatic hog roast feast.

Everyone was blown away the moment they sunk their teeth into our delectable hog roast rolls, which spilt over with fork-tender pulled pork, sweet applesauce, crispy crackling and sage and onion stuffing. Hog Roast Alsager’s catering manager, Alan, also made sure to include lots of fresh and tasty side salads, mixed fries and coleslaw, along with an entirely plant-based option of BBQ-pulled jackfruit wraps for the vegetarian and vegan guests.

The entire group had a splendid time, but none more so than the couple of the hour: Edith and Joseph, whose display of unyielding adoration for one another restored everyone’s faith in love.
