In preparation for Easter, Hog Roast Daresbury was contacted by Martin to provide catering at his church. Martin is in charge of organising events for local people to enjoy, and Easter is a perfect occasion for hosting a gathering. To make this an event to remember, Martin decided to hire catering for the occasion, with Hog Roast Daresbury on hand to serve a classic hog roast to the guests. Alongside our usual menu, we were also asked to provide a few additional dishes to ensure that this menu would be suitable for everyone to enjoy, including meat-free and gluten-free guests.
On the day of the event, the Hog Roast Daresbury team arrived at the venue in the morning and began preparing for the 2:00pm mealtime. We set up our catering station outdoors as the sun was shining and the weather was perfect for slow-roasting the hog to perfection. Alongside the sliced pork, we also served succulent pork sausages and veggie sausages, with every dish served in fresh bread rolls, or a gluten-free alternative. For the side dishes, we provided homemade chips, a selection of salad dishes, and crunchy coleslaw, creating a varied and delicious Easter lunch. Once the menu was ready, the guests were able to line up at our buffet station to grab a delicious plate, creating their ideal meal from the dishes that we had to offer. Our catering was a great addition to the event and had plenty for everyone to enjoy, which was ideal for attracting as many guests as possible to the gathering!
