Celebrating the impending arrival of their daughter, first-time-parents Iain and Lily decided to host a baby shower last weekend. Eager to keep the event as low-key and intimate as possible, they invited 30 of their closest friends and family to join in the festivities.
However, with the excitement building and preparations underway, they quickly realised they needed a catering service to take care of feeding everyone. Fortunately, after a quick research into caterers in Cheshire, they found their perfect match in Hog Roast Hulme!
Impressed by our affordable prices, diverse meal plans, and stellar reputation, Iain and Lily knew we were the right choice for their baby shower. With Stephen, our catering manager, guiding them through the menu options, they settled on our Alfresco Menu, featuring our famous
slow-roasted hog alongside delicious sides and vibrant charcuterie boards.
On the day of the baby shower, Hog Roast Hulme pulled out all the stops. Stephen expertly prepared the hog roast to perfection, ensuring it was golden, crisp, and bursting with flavour. Accompanied by sage and onion stuffing, and applesauce, and served on gluten-free rolls, every bite was a flavour sensation.
Complementing the main, we offered a variety of fresh sides, including heritage tomato and buffalo mozzarella salad, seasonal salad leaves, coleslaw, and roasted new potatoes. The attention to detail in both presentation and flavour was evident, delighting guests of all ages.
Our charcuterie boards were a huge hit, offering Italian meats, cheeses, focaccia, ciabatta, and breadsticks for guests to enjoy throughout the event. With savoury treats aplenty, everyone was fueled up and ready for some baby shower fun.
Lily and Iain had planned some entertaining party games to keep the mood light and spirits high, which proved popular with their guests. The atmosphere was filled with laughter and excitement as they celebrated the imminent arrival of their little one.
As the afternoon drew to a close, it was time for the couple to open their gifts, which they were incredibly grateful for. And what better way to end the celebrations than with dessert? Hog Roast Hulme delighted guests with homemade profiteroles and refreshing summer pudding, providing the perfect sweet finale to a perfect day.
