Recently, we had the pleasure of contributing to Jill and Charles’ joyous celebration of their union. Choosing a 400+ year-old country estate as their venue, the couple aimed for a wedding that matched the grandeur of the historic location. Opting for our Wedding Menu 4 with an evening buffet option, the couple picked a culinary experience that would leave a lasting impression on their 200 guests.
The celebration began with a touch of elegance as guests arrived to the sound of clinking glasses filled with champagne or fresh fruit juice. Canapés, featuring a delightful mini Indian selection, mini pizzas, mini quiche, chicken liver parfait, and smoked Scottish salmon, were the perfect way to whet their appetites.
For the starter, roasted breast of Gressingham duck with an orange and pomegranate dressing graced the tables, creating an exquisite introduction to the main course. Guests had the pleasure of choosing between spit-roasted English lamb with Yorkshire puddings and mint sauce, free-range turkey with stuffing and cranberry sauce, or grilled vegetable and halloumi kebabs. The sides, including coleslaw, salads, and dauphinoise potatoes, ensured that every guest found something delightful to savour.
Dessert brought the meal to a bright and colourful conclusion with Tarte au citron and vacherins of strawberries with passion fruit cream. As the couple and their guests migrated to the dance hall, Hog Roast Deeside seamlessly cleared away the remnants, ensuring a clean and tidy space for the celebration to continue.
But the celebration wasn’t over yet! A few hours of dancing and merry-making later, the guests found themselves ready for more, and Hog Roast Deeside delivered with an evening buffet featuring hot bacon and sausage barms – a perfect late-night indulgence.
