For many years, Hog Roast Burwardsley has wowed our customers and their guests with our signature food – the good old traditional hog roast. We freshly prepare the locally-sourced meat on the day of your party or event, slowly cook at a low temperature for hours on end, and then serve as either hog roast rolls (which we named pigs in buns) or in a meal together with seasonal vegetables, potatoes and all the trimmings. Either way, once your hog roast is carved up, we give you salty, crispy crackling and tender, moist meat, as well as our homemade apple sauce and sage and onion stuffing, and our own onion gravy too, if you’re enjoying it as part of a plated meal.
What you may not know or expect, however, is that Hog Roast Burwardsley offers so much more than our namesake food, including meat alternatives. You may prefer spit-roast or barbecued meat, or one of our special standalone menus instead. For something your guests may not expect but we’re sure that they’ll love, our new Alfresco Menu is an impressive option, where we first serve antipasti platters consisting of Italian meats, cheeses and artisan breads, followed by a stunning hog roast, and finished off perfectly with a couple of our homemade desserts. Or our Hog Roast Burwardsley Southern Slow Roast comes complete with three marinated meats, slow-cooked for hours on the day, as well as four hot or cold sides, giving you and your guests plenty of choice on the day without having to ask them in advance what they’d prefer.
We also offer options for special diets, and the ability to create your own multi-course menu by mixing and matching items between our menus. Vegans and vegetarians can enjoy tasty dishes such as our barbecued pulled jackfruit and coleslaw or vegetable and halloumi skewers, while we can whip up scrumptious options for other diets if needed; just let us know your needs when you book and Bob’s your uncle. Plus if you’re after more than one course, you can add a side or two to your main or choose a selection of handmade canapés, starters, sides or desserts. It’s all up to you!
