Saturday morning we were up with the larks wide eyed and ready to go to do a hog roast in Ormskirk! We felt so motivated on Saturday and it could be due to the fact that it was a nice day. Catering for a large wedding and feeding one thousand in total a walk in the park for us! With years of experience we are more than capable to face the trials and tribulations of large gatherings and we love nothing more than a challenge. For the hog roast in Ormskirk we were asked to supply a bit of everything so we brought with us some lamb, beef, chicken and a super size succulent pig! The guest of honour we always say as a gathering just wouldn’t be complete without the lovely pig. To go with the meat we were asked to make some salads so we chopped heaps of lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, spring onion and carrot and we then made a lovely selection of dips for the salads. Out door catering too and we really were so lucky as it was beautiful. We set up our huge marquee and within minutes the meats were cooking and we had prepared the side dishes and salads, time to pour the champagne, Hog Roast hire waiting staff greeted the guests to a tall slim cool glass of champagne with a red juicy strawberry very summery feel and lots of happy faces as the crowds mingled and adored the pig with humour and delight we were so busy making sure the cooking was going to plan and that the buns were all sliced we slice the buns at the last minute so they don’t go hard and are kept in airtight bags until needed we are very thorough about quality and make sure everything we serve is perfect. Soon we were dishing up and the meat was just falling apart and oozing with freshness and goodness, the buns fresh crisp on the out side and so soft inside heaped with meat salad and dressings, the bride and groom tucked into the food and to say they were hungry was an understatement they said they hadn’t ate for weeks with stress to the run up to the wedding but they sure made up for it on the day!
