January hog roast Cloughton took us by surprise!

We have been so busy here at Hog roast Cloughton in January and it really took us by surprise, as after the Christmas rush we thought January would be quiet how wrong were we! We started off at the beginning of January hosting our biggest event to date it was for a new hair salon opening and we had been asked to cater for one thousand people, we were really excited. We did a sandwich buffet and hosted the event out door luckily the snow was mild that day and under our marquee didn’t deter us. We were really surprised by the turn out and to be honest after a rough head count we counted more than a thousand it’s a good job our food goes a long way! Whole roasted pig.Hog roast hire Cloughton cooked chicken and lamb we cooked racks of them and popped the meat into freshly baked buns the day was a huge success and we walked away with a booking which is always a bonus. A few days later we were in Ecclestone a Christening serving a fantastic hog roast Ecclestone menu it was really nice that day it did snow and boy did it come down! And again luck was on our side as the event was indoor we catered for one hundred and twenty five with our hog roast hire Ecclestone machines and did a lunch which went down a treat nothing gets the appetite going more than cold weather everyone in Ecclestone was famished! Hog roast Cloughton won’t be stopped by the weather and  have we travelled in some hectic conditions, two weeks ago we headed south to a 50th birthday the event had been pre booked since last year and we were catering for two hundred the night before we were getting really worried as the snow was really coming down heavy and lying! We decided to set off really early two hours earlier than anticipated to be precise. We loaded the van at the crack of dawn and that was a job in it’s self as the snow was so deep, we also took a few shovels with us just in case! The journey was slow moving and luckily the roads had been gritted in the early hours, Hog roast hire Cloughton arrived on time just as well we left really early, and the day was great, there was guests from all over the world and they were all fascinated in the machinery and loved the meat most had never experienced hog roasting before and were pleasantly surprised. Yes in January we have faced it all heavy snow, ice and strong winds but as usual nothing got in our way. And I must say we are looking forward to the summer ahead, after what we have faced in January weather wise we feel we can now face anything. One thing we do know is that our food goes down so well in this cold weather we really couldn’t get it on to the plates quick enough for our guests to enjoy an appetite they all certainly had.
